  • All library books are due on or before June 3rd, and must be returned (or paid for if lost) by that date.  Textbooks must be returned by the date given by the teacher, which will be no later than June 10.  If not, you will be responsible for the replacement cost.  The average textbook cost is $60.  If you pay for a book that is later found, you will receive a refund. 
  • Sixth and seventh grade students who plan to attend Redwood next year may check out an unlimited number of library books over the summer once all books (including textbooks) have been returned.
  • Students who do not return materials or pay for lost or damaged materials will not receive their yearbook on June 11.  Eighth grade students with outstanding materials or fines will not be able to participate in the Magic Mountain trip as well.
  • Books found on campus are brought to the library.  Please check in the library for books lost this school year.  At the end of the school year those remaining will be donated.

 Sue Heraper Wed, 28 May 2008 11:52:32 +0200 http://redwoodlibrary.blog.com/3098215/ Book Fair! http://redwoodlibrary.blog.com/3098215/ Redwood will hold a Scholastic Book Fair in the library.  It will take place May21, 22 and 23 before school starting at 8:15 a.m., during lunch, and after school.  It will also be open after Awards Night on May 22.  Volunteers are needed to help with this event.

Brandon Mull, who spoke at Redwood a year ago, has written the third book in the Fablehaven series, Grip of the Shadow Plague.  It will be released on Tuesday, April 22.  Brandon Mull is making an appearance at the Borders in Thousand Oaks on Wednesday, April 23, at 7 p.m.  He will be available to sign copies of his books.  I have read and thoroughly enjoyed Brandon ’s first two books in the series, of which we have copies in the library.

A Website For Kids 8 to 14

Are you a kid 8 to 14 years of age? If you are, you can send messages about books and reading which will be posted on this site. Other kids can read your messages and respond to them. You can also read and write book reviews as well as read previews of books. You do not need to register or have an e-mail address.  The site was created and is monitored by a retired librarian, Alan Brown.
